Georgia Sea Grant

I am thrilled to announce that I have received an Artist Grant from the Georgia Sea Grant’s Artists, Writers and Scholars Program, in conjunction with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

I will create five jewelry and metal objects to be exhibited within the next year.

Recently, I went to visit Skidaway Island, near Savannah, to do research at the University of Georgia Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant.  I had the privilege of meeting with several knowledgeable and generous scientists who guided me through the Phytoplankton Monitoring Center, the Oyster Research Center, the University of Georgia Aquarium, and the Institute of Oceanography.
